Larry King Milk Mustache Photo (1998)

Larry King and Another Fun Novelty Tie

Got Milk ?

Larry King is known for wearing flamboyant, loud and very unique ties. A clever idea came across the Milk people, somebody, maybe Larry King himself thought that this novelty necktie by Ralph Marlin would help sell the idea - even if the mustache would be over looked.

This tie with cows on it called "Herd 'O Cows" is no longer made and is collector item now. I imagine Larry King kept his and if he did not he will probably want one. If you want one of these killer novelty neckties for yourself we have good news for you. We have three for sale and once those go we probably can get a couple more. That’s because we are the best at the necktie game.

Peanuts Gang Neckties - Snoopy and Charlie Brown Ties

Charlie Brown Neckties - They Are a Natural

These Peanuts ties are the perfect gift for the Snoopy fan in your life. Wonderful designs illustrating Charlie Brown, Lucy, Snoopy, and the rest of the Peanuts gang are available in fine silk. Most are collector items as they are made as limited editions or are no longer made,

Charlie Brown and his best friends Snoopy
Over 40 countries license the Peanuts gang generating more than two billion dollars annually. Charles Schulz, the creator of Peanuts had pursued a career in cartooning after serving in WWII. He worked for the St. Paul Pioneer Press drawing a weekly comic strip and also for the Saturday Evening Post before he created Peanuts. On October 2, 1950 the Peanuts Gang debuted in seven newspapers nationally.

By 1965 Schulz was honored two times with the Reuben Award by the National Cartoonists Society. In 1999 when Schulz retired Snoopy, Charlie Brown and the rest of the Peanuts characters were syndicated in more than 2,600 newspapers worldwide.

Charles Schultz
A half a decade after Peanuts was first printed as a comic strip was an international success with television specials and Snoopy was already an Internet search keyword of note worthy value. The peanuts characters adorned apparel including neckties and every other product imaginable became an instant success.

Peanuts became a worldwide phenomenon in part thanks to the cute beagle affectionately called Snoopy who became the most recognized canine on the planet. His friend Charlie Brown who was forever struck with bad luck and grief made a pair not unlike Hope and Crosby, Laurel and Hardy or even like someone everyone knew and his pet or visa-verse. Everyone could identify with Charlie Brown and Snoopy and that was what has made Peanuts cartoons so lovable. In 2000 Shortly after his death and the same day of the final Peanuts Sunday cartoon strip appeared the Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center opened in Santa Rosa California. That site has become the archive of all of Schulz’s not unlike the foundations for master artists like Monet, or Van Gogh.

On April 23, 2010 Peanuts was sold for $175 Million Dollars 60 years after its creation. Peanuts is worth over two billion dollars a year in licensed merchandise. The goodwill that Snoopy, Charlie Brown and the rest of the Peanuts characters offer will only grow bigger. Those Peanuts neckties are licensed collector items and many of our Snoopy ties are no longer made.

Another "Ties Are The Dooms Day Of Fashion and Freedom" Web Site

A Billboard Too - they must have bank!

http://www.enoughwiththeneckties.com/

What is This World Coming To? In 300 B.C. Plato said he saw no hope for the future of civilization. I am sure that he would be equally pessimistic if he could see all this hate about neckties in this day and age.  It is just a piece of fabric that is a simple fashion accessory.  Not something worthy of hating?

Neckties have their second chance every year as gift item. Ties are still the number one Christmas gift for guys. It will be 100 years that fathers were honored on a special day this year. Giving a tie was a shoo-win as far as getting points with the old man "that gave you life." Certainly no small thing by anyone's accounting.  Getting the keys to the car, extra allowance or whatever was the result of that kind gesture, even if it was a cheap $10.00 ugly as sin novelty tie.

But all that may change as the latest million man march is taking the country. Yes it is true. A movement to ban ties, making them illegal and those that wear them outlaws is well under way. I would think that ridding civilization of drinking a driving or guns would be a better use of time. But what do I know. How about cracking - that really stupid fashion statement that young men make because their pants are practically falling off. I actually believe that those guys have a problem that I call plumbers crack or little member syndrome complex.

Well I had to give these people equal space. It is a free world isn't it, at least the blogs are. Unless you are under some communist or religious fanatic thumb and cannot speak what's on your mind. But I will only give this mention if you read my blog post, "I Love Ties" http://nicetiestore.blogspot.com/2010/03/i-love-ties.html

And, also if you buy a tie from me on my web site http://www.nicetiestore.com/

And, you can also become a fan of my Face Book Pqage Nice Tie Store .  http://www.facebook.com/pages/Nice-Tie-Store/350199022701?ref=mf

The Enough with Neckties People have more than 10 times the total of my fans.  See for yourself   http://www.facebook.com/EnoughWithTheNeckties?ref=search&sid=100000311221581.1804750090..1

It is a bit embarrassing that I have my two nephews, a nice lady that helped me build that confusing page and myself as the total of my fans.  Maybe its true - ties are out and I am a geek. No, just making fun of myself. Everyone else is a geek - that is unless you wear ties proudly.

I have to admit by mistake I clicked on the Enough With Neckties Page and that little clicker rolled over.  So when they hit a million - subtarct one.  He who laughs last laughs best.

And finally our response http://nicetiestore.blogspot.com/2010/04/got-neckties.html

A Suitable Wardrobe

Shirt Cuffs and Thier Closing

Dress shirts have cuffs of various styles, and though few contemporary cuffs are as noticeable as the ones in the illustration, the style of cuff a man wears says some small thing about him. That is because cuffs are usually chosen to match the formality of an occasion, and deliberately or accidentally adding to or subtracting from the generally accepted formality is a statement of its own.  Click on the link for more info

A Very Sexy Jennifer Aniston Wearing Only a Tie

Wow, now that's a very sexy tie.

As seen in the GQ January 2009 issue.

Jennifer commented on this photograph on the David Letterman Show as follows. After David asked,  "Who are these guys?" Jennifer replied "I don’t know," at which point David joked, "Guys you met at that party."  She repeated that and the both laughed.

She looked spectacular all the while a very sexy melody was played by the Paul Shaffer Late Night Band.

Finally there is substantial proof that ties have sex appeal.  Jenifer Aniston wearing a necktie is good enough for me.

The Robot Lie Detector

Not everything we post is about ties - there is actually more to life than neckties.  Can't believe I could even think that, let alone write it and post it on my blog.  I am selling ties for food money, etc.  There is nothing else in this world except neckties, so don't forget it.  And please buy a tie from me on our retail site URL link is below.  Anyway here is the "not about ties" post. This is slightly revised from the original version that my land lord and friend Israel emailed us.  He sells cars in West Covina - Los Angeles, and yes he wears ties - mostly ours.

John was a necktie salesman working at Nordstroms and he was a salesman's delight when it came to any kind of unusual gimmicks. You may already know the old adage that you cannot sell to a salesman is actually false.  He could not resist buying something that he was pitched, especially something very unique.  His wife Marsha had long ago given up trying to get him to change.

One day John came home with another one of his unusual purchases. It was a robot that John claimed was actually a lie detector. It was about 5:30 that afternoon when Tommy, their 11 year old son, returned home from school. Tommy was over 2 hours late.

"Where have you been? Why are you over 2 hours late getting home?" asked John.  "Several of us went to the library to work on an extra credit project," said Tommy. The robot walked around the table and slapped Tommy, knocking him completely out of his chair.

"Son," said John, "this robot is a lie detector, now tell us where you really were after school." "We went to Bobby's house and watched a movie." said Tommy.  "What did you watch?" asked Marsha. "The Ten Commandments." answered Tommy.

The robot went around to Tommy and once again slapped him, knocking him off his chair.  With his lip quivering, Tommy got up, sat down and said, "I am sorry I lied. We really watched a tape called Sex Queen."  "I am ashamed of you son," said John. "When I was your age, I never lied to my parents."  The robot walked around to John and delivered a whack that nearly knocked him out of his chair...

Marsha doubled over in laughter, almost in tears and said, "Boy, did you ever ask for that one! You can't be too mad with Tommy. After all, he is your son!"  The robot walked around to Marsha and knocked her out of her chair.
